An attempt to visit every suburb in Sydney.

See you in November.

Hello friends.

It's been a pretty rubbish few months, so before I start this update I wanted to send my well wishes to you all. Whether you or someone you care about has gotten sick, whether you've lost work due to the lockdown, or whether you're just tired of spending so much time with your immediate family, I just wanted to acknowledge that this has been a pretty terrible time for a lot of Sydneysiders. If that's you, I hope that it all works out okay.

Now, with the state's vaccination rate absolutely zooming, it's been all but confirmed that NSW will be starting to open back up on the 11th of October. To my understanding, that means it should be legal for me to kick back off from then.

While I have enjoyed not leaving the house, growing out my rubbish facial hair, and looking generally dilapidated over these past three-odd months, it will be great to get back out again soon and explore this wonderful city of ours.

Assuming no further apocalypse related news, I've decided that this means I'll be restarting the regular posts in November and going back to my normal twice-weekly schedule.

That means I'll be back on Thursday November 4th, 2021.

That gives me one weekend to visit mum, and two weekends to collect some suburbs in time to start posting again.

To reward your wait, November will be the 8 suburbs that you voted for as part of the originally intended anniversary special, and finding out if you people have any taste.

As always, thank you for reading and see you soon.

Now where the hell did I leave my Opal card?

  1. Yay! I'm not the only guy who decided to start growing long hair and the longest beard I could for the first time in 42 years! :D

It's a pretty shithouse beard too though, I'm disappointed, I thought it would be down to my bellybutton by now :(

    When did you start yours?

    1. Mine's about as old as the lockdown (plus a few days).

  4. I tried growing a rubbish beard as well.
Just ended up with my partner constantly asking when I am going to hit puberty to make it grow...
Looking forward to some more great content.
