Hello! Before I start, a quick announcement. I'm taking a short pause for a couple weeks after this post. The next suburb after this will go up on Thursday 1 December. 

I have some travel coming up (first time leaving the country since the apocalypse began - yay) and want to take the time to properly unplug. Of course, if you're reading this in the future, none of that was important.

Now, onto the post (a two-for-one today, lucky you).

This next suburb sounds fancy because it has an Italian-sounding name. Let's see if it's fancy for realsies.

Did you read Peakhurst and think "this place could be a bit higher?" Well then do I have the suburb for you.

Last suburb, we visited a pile of pens. In this suburb, we give a pile of peaks a go.

So hurst apparently means a hill or mound. That means this suburb is named for a mound of pens. More impressively though, this suburb's post code is 2222.

Let's investigate.

Next up in this fine city of ours, I head south to the suburb of Mortdale.

Today, I take a bushwalk through Wolli Creek Regional Park. These two suburbs are not part of that bushwalk, but they're close enough for a quick detour. Let's go.

When that happens, the best thing for me to do is to have a chill afternoon strolling and eating through a vibrant commercial centre like

In Melbourne, Carlton is an interesting and dynamic inner-city suburb, known for its cafes, Italian restaurants, heritage architecture and football team (of the type they play in Victoria). It turns out that Sydney has its own Carlton too. Ours isn't as good.
